About
Project Facts
Project name: Innovative water-soluble phytomaterial inhibitors for Alzheimers and Parkinsons diseases prevention
Project acronym: PhytoAPP
Call: H2020-MSCA-RISE-2020
Type of action: MSCA-RISE
Number: 101007642
OUR IDEA
The PhytoAPP conceptual idea is a development of inhibitors of amyloid fibrils formation and hence Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease prevention/treatment through advancement in innovative nanotech approach to overcome the phytochemicals’ limitations of low water-solubility, thus resolving issues with low bioavailability, low stability, high concentration requirements and increased toxicity. Developing reliable products and processes in the Lab scale as water-soluble nano-enabled Phytocomplexes synthesis and their in vitro and in vivo testing, work within the project is also aimed at the preparatory steps elaboration for scaling up production of the nanopharmaceutical products (such as Pilot scale Lines development/ upgrade/adjustment, certification/specification of the process/product requested for the nanopharmaceuticals production, product preparation for further large animal mode in vivo and clinical testing, etc.).
